Innocent Teenager Shot and Killed 3 Blocks Away From George Floyd Memorial

On Thursday, a teenager was shot and killed in Minneapolis close to a memorial for George Floyd at the site where Floyd died while in custody of Minneapolis police.

Police said the 17-year-old was gunned down only  three blocks from the intersection where Floyd was killed as a cop who was kneeling on his neck for nearly 10 minutes back on May 25, the event that sparked a worldwide outcry for racial justice, according to WCCO-TV.

His name wasn’t immediately released.

The unidentified teenager was shot outside a neighborhood market around 6 p.m. on the East 3500 block of Chicago Avenue WCCO reported.

Police stated they responded to a report of shots fired and discovered the victim outside the shop who at that point had no pulse. Officers tried to revive the teenager on the scene, however he was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.

This shooting death was the 37th murder this year, while the total number of people shot is 274, according to the Star Tribune.

Is this what all the protests were for?  Rioting over police brutality is one thing, but then completely ignoring the wholesale slaughter of black Americans by rioting thugs is shameful and is a disgrace in the memory of George Floyd.

According to police, the gunman fled the scene, and is still at large.

Minneapolis, Baltimore, Atlanta, Portland, Seattle, New York, and let’s not forget Chicago, all Democrat-run cities where the mayors have actively allowed protests to turn ugly and riots to ensue.  The summer of love has turned into the summer of death.  The irony here is that decades of progressive Democrat policies in big cities has bred an environment for crime.  The Left says that poverty is a cause of crime, well who creates policies in cities that are anti business, anti capitalists, and anti people?  The Democrats.  You can’t blame the Republicans, because they haven’t had any power in those cities for decades.  You can’t blame Republican White House’s, especially the Trump administration, because no matter how much Trump’s economic policies have knocked the black and Hispanic unemployment rates down to the lowest ever record in history, black and Hispanic people living in Democrat-run cities still have to deal with progressive Democrats at the local level.

Nothing will change until the people in those cities decide that enough is enough and just for once they change their attitude and vote the Democrat bums out.
