For decades the United States has paid a ton of money to NATO which was created to protect countries like Germany from Russia. Now we are allowing the sale of oil from Russia into Germany?
The news of Biden’s waiving the sanctions is in direct contradiction to prior statements given by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who once said that the US was committed to blocking the pipeline from being completed. Now, it appears that the pipeline construction will go on without any interruption.
One of the first stupid decisions that Biden made was when he wrote an executive order to block the construction of the Keystone pipeline. Leftists danced for joy thinking that they had won some great victory, but all they did was increase the cost to the American people for oil and gasoline not to mention everything else that is made from oil. What they didn’t realize if the oil was coming no matter what either through the pipeline or via another mode of delivery. The fact that Biden shut down the finishing of the Keystone pipeline meant that the oil would now be delivered by trucks and trains which would increase the cost for delivery rather than have the oil be delivered for practically nothing via the pipeline. But now it appears that Biden is allowing Russia to have a pipeline while America cannot.
The media are already kissing Biden’s rear end to make it appear that he can still use phony “tough talk” against Russia while not upsetting Germany at the same time, a relationship that the administration cannot ruin.
About a week ago, Russian hackers who go by the name DarkSide attacked the US Colonial pipeline with a ransomware attack. That pipeline transports gasoline, diesel fuel, and natural gas over 5,500 miles from Texas to New Jersey, and it was completely shut down. Colonial tried to operate without the software, but it was too difficult, so in the end, they caved and paid a ransom of $5 million.
Biden refused to answer a question about if the federal government assisted Colonial in the negotiations for the ransom.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki responded by saying that the federal government is not in the practice of paying a ransom, which means that once again, she didn’t answer the question. The question wasn’t if the Biden administration paid the ransom. The question was did the federal government help Colonial in the negotiations of the ransom. Those are two completely separate things. So much for transparency.
So now, President Biden has put the United States in the position of caving to the Germans to wave sanctions on Russia that in turn allow a key vital interest to Vladimir Putin to move forward. Can you only imagine what the press would say if that had been Donald Trump?
The Biden administration denies any knowledge that there are ties between the Russian government and the Russian hacker group. But we already know that Joe Biden has lied about ties and involvement in foreign businesses and governments. For all we know, this is another Hunter Biden boondoggle foreign business deal that the Biden administration is desperately trying to cover up. We have learned in under six months that you have to take everything this administration says with a grain of salt, so it could very well be that Putin was involved and he used the hacker group as leverage to get the pipeline restarted. We may never know.
What’s really weird is as soon as the hacker group got the ransom money they shut down their group claiming their servers and bank accounts were seized, yet no government agency held a press conference or took credit for that. When has that ever happened?
