Governor Greg Abbott Orders Texas State Troopers To Build a Wall of Vehicles To Shut Down US-Mexico Border In

When the federal government shirks its responsibilities to protect American citizens, then federalism be damned. It’s time states protect themselves.

Over the weekend, Texas state troopers used their vehicles to build a wall of metal, shutting down the US-Mexico border in Del Rio. This prompted the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to rush agents and officers to Del Rio to process the thousands of illegal migrants who had made it across our border illegally. The feds should be turning these people away, but instead they allowed a city size of people to gather inside our border and the Democrats will process them because they want the votes.

DHS also promised there would be more deportation flights with use of expedited removal, a speedy deportation process, to attempt to remove as many illegal migrants, most of them from Haiti, from the makeshift camp they built on the banks of the Rio Grande.

Authorities were able to trim the numbers of illegal migrants from about 16,000 at the peak from last week to less than 13,000 by Sunday afternoon. That’s still 13,000 people too many. That may sound cruel, but what’s even crueler is for every illegal migrant that is allowed into the interior of our country, American taxpayers pay the price. These people cost money. They have to eat, find and pay for shelter, feed their kids, get healthcare services, and it all adds up. Most of them are paupers with not a dime to their name. That means we the people are going to be hit with the bill and it’s not fair. What else isn’t fair is they are not testing illegal migrants they let in for COVID-19. So while the same Biden administration wants to force American citizens to get vaccinated, they’re not vaccinating illegal migrants coming in or even testing them. And if recent history is an indicator, many of them have COVID and will spread it to American citizens.

Todd Bensman, senior national security fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies, who has been looking at the scene on the ground for several days, says the Biden administration is frantic about getting the numbers to a manageable level before those in the camp grow unruly.

They argue that we have a moral responsibility to take these people in and that American taxpayers owe them a living. I think the moral responsibility of our government is to protect American citizens first and foremost and to have a legal system of immigration enforced, not what the Biden administration has created here, which is disastrous for both America and the illegal migrants themselves.

A large portion of the Haitians now on our border have been living in countries like Argentina and Brazil, not in Haiti prior to ending up on our southern border. They saw that the lawless Biden administration opening up our border as a special invitation for them to invade us.

DHS said it is trying to convey the message that the border isn’t open and people shouldn’t try to come here “No. Stop. We mean it,” said the Biden government in the most monotone voice ever heard.

“Individuals and families are subject to border restrictions, including expulsion. Irregular migration poses a significant threat to the health and welfare of border communities and to the lives of migrants themselves, and should not be attempted,” the department said in an unsigned statement Saturday.

Since when did this administration give a flying fig about the border communities? Representative Henry Cuellar (D-TX) has been sounding the alarm on the harm being brought to Texas border communities by the results of the Biden administration’s ignoring of our immigration laws. He has been extremely frustrated by the intentional lack of understanding of the administration.

No one really believes DHS is going to do anything other than what needs to be done for good optics.

On top of Haitians making up most of the illegal migrants in the camp, Cubans and Venezuelans are there too. For them, I would expect entry into the country, because they are true refugees. Their governments are persecuting people for not wanting to be socialists, but Democrats think of them as the “wrong Hispanic immigrants,” because they believe in freedom and liberty after living in socialist hell holes, much like what the Biden administration wants to create here.

Imagine that all of these people standing around in this camp are waiting to be arrested by border agents, and for them, that’s like winning the lottery.

On Sunday, Former President Donald Trump chimed in wondering how National Guard troops were deployed in Washington to handle security at a pro-Trump rally at the Capitol but not deployed to Del Rio to help handle the immigration crisis the administration created.

“The largest number of illegal aliens in the history of our country are pouring in by the millions. They are totally unchecked and unvetted, can do whatever they want, and go wherever they want,” the former president said, asserting that the US “is rapidly becoming a cesspool of humanity.” He argued that the media are not providing enough coverage of what the former president deemed, “greatest crisis in the history of our country.”
