I know that it denies belief in a Benevolent Being, but apparently, Vice President Kamala Harris, currently at 28% approval rating, has reached out to Hillary Clinton for advice on how to become popular with voters. I hope you weren’t just drinking something when you read that.
Harris cannot have a low rating like that without Democrats not liking her as well. I heard a stat that went out the other day on one of the cable news shows that the only group that likes her is black suburban women.
According to the Washington Examiner:
Vice President Kamala Harris is turning to Hillary Clinton for advice on plotting “a path forward,” according to a new report.
The New York Times reports Harris sought out the counsel of Clinton, the first female Democratic presidential nominee and a fellow former U.S. senator, and other women when she came to Washington.
Harris and Clinton speak every few months on the phone, and the two met in the vice president’s West Wing office in November, the report said.
From One America News:
“Harris is reportedly unhappy that Biden relied on her on the campaign trail but he does not need her to actually govern. Meantime some commentators say Clinton may have her own motives for such meetings. Reports also say Harris is concerned with her low approval ratings, at about 28% compared to Biden’s 38% and she sought Clinton’s advice on improving her public image.”
As reported by The New York Times:
Faced with declining approval ratings, a series of staff departures and a drumbeat of criticism from Republicans and the conservative news media, she has turned to powerful confidantes, including Hillary Clinton, to help plot a path forward.
Ms. Harris has privately told her allies that the news coverage of her would be different if she were any of her 48 predecessors, whom she has described as all white and male. (Charles Curtis, who served as vice president under Hoover, spoke proudly of his Native American ancestry.) She also has confided in them about the difficulties she is facing with the intractable issues in her portfolio, such as voting rights and the root causes of migration. The White House has pushed back against scathing criticism on both fronts, for what activists say is a lack of attention.
What’s so alarming about this story is that Hillary Clinton was not a likable person. She has many reputations and most of them bad. She’s a mean woman. She treats Secret Service agents like trash. She treats staffers like garbage. She holds grudges. She was the worst candidate that a major party nominated for the White House in my lifetime, possibly ever.
She insulted half the country during the 2016 election by referring to Trump supporters as a “Basket of Deplorables.”
Here’s what Hillary actually said while running for president:
“I know there are only 60 days left to make our case — and don’t get complacent, don’t see the latest outrageous, offensive, inappropriate comment and think well he’s done this time. We are living in a volatile political environment.
“You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? [Laughter/applause]. The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic — you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people, now have 11 million. He tweets and retweets offensive, hateful, mean-spirited rhetoric. Now some of those folks, they are irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America.
“But the other basket, the other basket, and I know because I see friends from all over America here. I see friends from Florida and Georgia and South Carolina and Texas, as well as you know New York and California. But that other basket of people who are people who feel that government has let them down, nobody cares about them, nobody worries about what happens to their lives and their futures, and they are just desperate for change. It doesn’t really even matter where it comes from. They don’t buy everything he says but he seems to hold out some hope that their lives will be different. They won’t wake up and see their jobs disappear, lose a kid to heroine, feel like they’re in a dead-end. Those are people we have to understand and empathize with as well.”
This is the person who is going to teach Kamala Harris how to be popular with voters? That’s the definition of the blind leading the blind. When she speaks, she sounds like a robot. When she campaigned, the few times she did a rally, she would get angry and tell Americans she was going to put coal miners out of business by shutting down the mines all for climate change. She came off as an angry woman who wasn’t able to tell voters what she would do for them if elected. Instead, she would tell you to not vote for the other guy because he’s really bad. She was a terrible candidate.
You have to wonder, though, why it became a news story that Hillary is coaching Harris on being a likeable person. It has been reported before that Clinton has been advising Harris the entire time she’s been vice president.
Back in July, The Hill reported that longtime adviser to the Clintons, Minyon Moore, said that Hillary has been advising Kamala.
“She has become a trusted and loyal adviser to the vice president and the administration,” said Minyon Moore, a longtime adviser to Bill and Hillary Clinton who worked on the Biden transition and is a friend to Flournoy.
“She is smart, strategic and very hardworking. She understands the significance of this moment in history and the tremendous weight of being the first,” Moore added, referring to the pressure Harris faces as the first woman, African American and South Asian person to be vice president.
Could this “news” be something that the Hillary people put out intentionally to get people talking about the possibility that she will run again? Think about it. People inside the Democratic Party are already talking about getting rid of Joe and Kamala for 2024. With poll numbers like theirs, who wouldn’t? This may be Hillary’s way of repositioning herself to run for president again.
Hillary recently gave a Masterclass, and one segment of the class was spent listening to Hillary read her 2016 victory speech if she hadn’t experienced the epic loss to Donald Trump. She said, “I’ve never read this out loud. But it helps to encapsulate who I am, what I believe in, and what my hopes were for the kind of country that I want for my grandchildren, and that I want for the world, that I believe in that is America at its best.”
Does anyone really believe the speech she read in her Masterclass was the real speech she had written in the event that she won the 2016 contest?
Don’t forget that once the shock of losing to a political newcomer [Trump] wore off, Hillary wrote a book and went on the longest book tour in the history of the world. She blamed everyone and everything but herself. Sure, she gave a nanosecond of acceptance for her loss, but then went on to create a list of things and people that just made even more people thankful she never won the White House.
She sat on multiple stages giving speeches saying that you can run a perfect campaign and still have the election stolen from you, referring to the Trump-Russia collusion hoax, knowing the entire time that SHE created the phony Russian collusion hoax to get her illegal private email server off the front pages.
Clinton is behaving like she is there to guide Harris to help her prep for the big game in 2024, but knowing Hillary, she’s doing it all for herself.
Ever the oblivious one, Kamala Harris is off to learn from the most corrupt, wicked, demonizing, fake politicians ever to run for office. Good luck because she’s going to need it.
